PRECISION TUBE INSPECTION AND ASSEMBLY

Assembly of an EV cooling system’s drop tube using a robotic vision pick-and-place system on a 16-station rotary table. Components are fed into the system via a bowl feeder and a precise 3mm x 3mm laser etched 10-digit 2D barcode is used for traceability.

CNC MACHINE TENDING WITH 3D VISION

Robot one 3D bin picks with Apera vision system and magnetic gripper to a regrip station. The robot regrips the part to load the first two CNC machines (requiring a flip of the part in between each CNC). Then it's transferred to Robot two via gravity conveyor. Robot two loads' parts into three different CNC machines (with part rotations between each CNC) followed by a part washing station prior to loading into a finished parts transfer cart.

SOLAR PANEL RECYCLING CELL

A FANUC robot picks up solar panels (measuring 24” by 47” and weighing 28lbs) from designated bins and moves to location for the cord plates or mounting brackets to be removed. The solar panel is then placed into designated containers

COOLING CONDUIT AND DROP TUBE ASSEMBLY

The assembly of EV cooling conduits and drop tubes has been automated, featuring a robotic system that loads them onto a versatile 10-station walking beam, adaptable for various models. Afterward, a thorough inspection ensures everything is correctly assembled, and finally, the process wraps up with robotic unloading.
